Jeffrey Ludovici, M.A., has worked directly with students and families since 1997. In 2001, he began working directly with college students to solve academic problems and to help them succeed. Jeff specializes in identifying why students don’t succeed or even fail in college, and then applies that knowledge to help new students at a variety of schools. There can be many reasons why students begin to do poorly or fail in college, which can vary by college size, student gender, and other factors.. With only about 36% of American college students graduating in four years, effective intervention at the first sign of problems is needed, plus good planning for coming terms to help students succeed.
Jeff holds a B.S. in psychology and an M.A. in clinical psychology, and is the former Director of a large program that helped young adults in Pennsylvania. Jeff understands the many issues that students face, and especially those that can affect academic performance. His formal training covered key academic areas like problem solving, learning & memory, motivation, as well as the types of conditions that can affect students. His professional knowledge of ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other issues makes him uniquely qualified to help students with disabilities in college.
Jeff runs a special program that helps students to be successful in college, and works with them while they attend classes to both understand and address the problems that caused bad grades. He uses an individualized approach to assess the key issues affecting a student, helps to design methods or strategies to improve their weak areas, and well as teaches them new skills as they move through their courses. Jeff is an experienced interventionist who specializes in the phenomenon of students failing in college, and he understands that the situation can simply repeat itself if not appropriately addressed. In addition, Jeff is a member of the National Association of College Advisors, so he can help with course choices and can act as an interim Advisor if a student plans to attend another school to earn credits. Jeff can also help with college searches for students who wish to transfer, including those that have a low GPA. He is also the author of two books, 14 guides, and over 100 articles on the subjects of college success and addressing issues that affect students.
